Confirming if Invisalign® is a fit for you
At our dental practice, the first step in determining if Invisalign® is a good fit for you is a thorough compatibility assessment. X-rays and impressions are taken of the teeth. Invisalign® uses digital 3-D imaging to develop the treatment plan. With this advanced technology, you get to see a virtual representation of how the teeth will move at each stage of treatment. Your unique treatment plan entails fabrication of a series of custom-tailored clear aligners. As you wear each set, the teeth begin to gradually shift into their proper position.
About every two weeks, a new set of aligners is worn to advance to the next stage of treatment. To monitor progress. a checkup every five weeks or so is adequate. At every stage, you’ll seen the changes and how much closer you are to having the perfect smile. While every individual is different, treatment with Invisalign® for adults generally takes one year to complete. For teens, the treatment takes a bit longer. For best results, Invisalign® aligners should be worn most of the time.
